Port Royal Speedway hosts the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the seventh annual Rumble by the River weekend, with nearly $200,000 in total prize money on the line over the two-day event headlined by Saturday's $50,000 winner's share.
A 54-car field has made its way to the half-mile for the weekend that begins with Friday’s 40-lap, $10,000-to-win preliminary before Saturday’s 50-lap finale.
Ricky Thornton Jr. swept Port Royal's three Lucas Oil events last year. Jonathan Davenport, a three-time series winner at the half-mile, has joined the non-Lucas Oil regulars, along with Chris Madden and Chris Ferguson.
