Corey Day led 34 of 35 laps from the pole Saturday at Placerville (Calif.) Speedway, winning the Grocery Outlet Gold Rush Classic for his sixth Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing victory of the season in his 13th series start.
Day surrendered the lead only briefly when Tanner Holmes paced lap 12 before Day regained command. Holmes went on to finish fourth, while Landon Brooks finished second for the second consecutive night. Shane Golobic completed the podium in third, with Giovanni Scelzi rounding out the top five.
