Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing concludes the opening weekend of its West Coast swing Saturday with 41 cars entered at Placerville Speedway.

The third race in as many nights comes after Aaron Reutzel and Corey Day split the opening two California events. Reutzel won Thursday’s inaugural series visit to Santa Maria Speedway before Day took Friday’s 30-lap feature at Thunderbowl Raceway, leading the final 25 laps and beating Landon Brooks by 2.489 seconds.

Reutzel enters Placerville atop the championship standings after finishing third Friday. The Ridge & Sons Racing driver holds a 65-point advantage over Giovanni Scelzi, while reigning series champion Rico Abreu has slipped to third, 69 points behind, following finishes of 17th and 22nd to begin the West Coast trip.

Day, meanwhile, carries momentum into Placerville after earning his fifth High Limit victory in only 12 series starts this season and sixth overall Sprint Car victory in 23 starts in 2026.

Following Placerville, the tour gets a brief break before returning Aug. 27-29 for the 72nd Mike Curb Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif.
