The second leg of the Virginia Triple Crown, the Hampton Heat 200, is up next this Saturday night at Virginia’s Langley Speedway. More than 30 drivers have filed entries for Saturday’s race, including six previous winners of “America’s Hottest Race.”

Those six previous winners are Matt Waltz, who claimed his first Hampton Heat triumph one year ago, Lee Pulliam, who won this race in 2015, Peyton Sellers, who scored the win in 2013, Woody Howard, who won the second ever Hampton Heat back in 2009, Connor Hall, who won in 2019, and Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, who has won this race three times in 2020, 2023, and 2024.

With this event being the second leg of the Virginia Triple Crown, it’s worth noting that Kaden Honeycutt, who leads the Triple Crown standings by winning the Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200 at South Boston Speedway last month, is not entered for this weekend’s race. That puts 2023 Triple Crown champion Trevor Ward atop the standings thanks to his runner-up finish at South Boston. Landon Pembelton is second, Caden Kvapil is third, Connor Hall is fourth, and Trey Crews is fifth. Carson Brown and Landen Lewis would be scored fourth and fifth after South Boston, but neither driver has plans to run this weekend at Langley due to prior conflicts.
