Saturday’s Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200 is shaping up to be the biggest version yet in the 20-year history of this crown jewel of Late Model Stock Car racing. Nearly 50 cars have filed entries for Saturday’s 200-lap showdown at the historic South Boston Speedway, including some of the biggest names the discipline has to offer.

Headlining the massive entry list is Lee Pulliam, who has won this race six times as a driver and once as a car owner for Corey Heim, the most recent NASCAR Cup Series winner. In an interesting twist, Pulliam won’t be driving for his own Lee Pulliam Performance organization. Instead, he’ll be piloting the No. 8 for JR Motorsports.

Driving for LPP instead of Pulliam will be Carson Brown, the team’s full-time driver with the zMAX CARS Tour, and Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, who won the CARS Tour championship with LPP in 2024. Brown and Queen head to South Boston fresh off top-five efforts in the most recent CARS Tour race at Dominion Raceway earlier this month.

But to get the victory they’ll have to go through Connor Hall, who returns to South Boston with Nelson Motorsports. Hall is the two-time and defending winner of this race, having won it with Nelson Motorsports in 2024, and with JR Motorsports in 2025. Hall won’t be the only driver Nelson Motorsports has in their stable this weekend, as Ronnie Bassett Jr. will pilot Nelson’s No. 12 machine on Saturday night.

R&S Race Cars is bringing a three-headed monster to SoBo this weekend with Landon Pembelton, Mini Tyrrell, and Trey Crews. Pembelton is still in search of his first Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200 victory to go along with his two wins in the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway. Tyrrell is fresh off a CARS Tour win at Dominion, and he knows his way around South Boston, too. South Boston is the location where Tyrrell won enough points to win his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series ride for Ram and Kaulig Racing last fall.

Just four previous winners of the South Boston 200 are entered this weekend. Bobby McCarty won this race twice in 2021 and 2023, and Peyton Sellers won this race in back-to-back years in 2018 and 2019. McCarty and Sellers join Pulliam and Hall as the only previous winners to be entered this year.

The zMAX CARS Tour has a total of 10 full-time drivers entered for Saturday’s race including points leader Caden Kvapil, Doug Barnes Jr., Landon Huffman, Conner Jones, Carson Brown, Donovan Strauss, Parker Eatmon, Carson Loftin, Chase Burrow, and Brandon Pierce. And although they aren’t full-time, Hall, Kaden Honeycutt, Mini Tyrrell, and Landen Lewis have all scored wins with the CARS Tour this season and are entered this weekend.

The entire 46-car entry list can be found below.
