Holding off repeated challenges from Dale McDowell, polesitter Brandon Sheppard led all 40 laps Friday at Smoky Mountain Speedway for his fifth Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory of the season.
Sheppard earned $10,000 for the flag-to-flag triumph, crossing the finish line 1.342 seconds ahead of the third-starting McDowell, while outside front-row starter Garrett Alberson rounded out the podium in third. See below for complete results.
