Entry List: Lucas Oil vs. Outlaws Dirt Cup At Muskingum

For one night, the season-long battle between the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and World of Outlaws Late Model Series moves beyond online debates and onto the racetrack.

Wednesday's inaugural Shale Crescent Dirt Cup at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio, pits the top 12 drivers in points from each national tour against one another in a Ryder Cup-style showdown for Dirt Late Model bragging rights. The unique event, held at the 3/8-mile oval owned by Donnie Moran and promoted by Tristin Moran, brings together nearly every heavyweight from both tours in a head-to-head team competition unlike anything the sport has seen before.

The event, streamed live on FloRacing, boasts a $230,750 purse, including $20,000 to the winner of the 50-lap feature. Every driver will receive $5,000 to participate and $2,000 to start, while members of the winning team will earn an additional $1,000 bonus.

Every top driver from both tours is expected to compete, with Brandon Overton the lone absence from Team Lucas. Dan Ebert, 13th in Lucas Oil points, fills Overton's spot.

Points will be awarded through qualifying, heat races, a head-to-head King of the Hill challenge and the feature itself, where every position could prove pivotal in determining whether Team Lucas or Team Outlaw captures the inaugural Dirt Cup.
