Eldora Speedway hosted the second night of preliminary action for the 32nd annual Dirt Late Model Dream on Friday, featuring a 50-lap preliminary race paying $30,000 to the winner. Jonathan Davenport did what he does best at "The Big E," pouncing when it mattered most to score another win at the Rossburg, Ohio dirt track.

Diving under Brandon Overton on a lap-47 restart, Davenport of Blairsville, Ga., survived an earlier slipup to secure the victory. The sixth-starting Davenport, who on Saturday will chase his fourth consecutive 100-lap Dream, pulled away to win by 2.871 seconds ahead of Overton, who led laps 16-46 at the half-mile oval.

Overton held on to finish second at the line, with Dale McDowell finishing behind him in third. Polesitter Jason Feger and Wednesday's FloRacing Night in America winner Nick Hoffman completed the top five. 

Bobby Pierce, who earned the most points in Eldora's "Every Point Matters" point system during prelim nights, spun a three on the "Wheel of Misfortune" meaning that heat race lineups will feature a three-car invert on Saturday. 

The Dirt Late Model Dream concludes Saturday with the 100-lap, $100,000-to-win main event. Fans can watch the action live all week long on FloRacing.
