Two of FloRacing's cornerstone events — Eldora Speedway's World 100 and the Chili Bowl Nationals — have been selected as nominees for the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards in the Best Motorsports Race category.

The World 100, Dirt Late Model racing’s most iconic event, was first contested in 1971 at the half-mile oval in Rossburg, Ohio, founded by Earl Baltes. The Chili Bowl Nationals — often dubbed midget car racing’s Super Bowl — is held annually indoors at Tulsa, Okla.’s Expo Square.

The two Crown Jewels join a list of nominees that includes some of the most prestigious races in American motorsports, such as the Daytona 500, Indianapolis 500, Coca-Cola 600, Rolex 24 at Daytona and Formula 1's Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Dirt racing is further represented on the ballot by Knoxville Raceway's Knoxville Nationals, sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series every August.

Voting is conducted via USA Today’s 10Best platform, where readers determine the final rankings through a public vote that remains open until April 27 at 11:59 a.m. EDT. Participants must be at least 18 years old and are limited to one vote per person a day.

Results will be announced May 6, with the top 10 nominees named Readers’ Choice winners and featured on the USA Today 10Best website.
