A new chapter in pavement sprint car racing begins Friday night with the inaugural Race for the Million event at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. The innovative series, featuring four events and a total purse exceeding $1 million, is set to open with a strong entry list of more than 50 drivers for the season-opening race.

The most recent entry list for the event posted on the series Facebook page on March 3 features the names of 53 drivers who have intentions of competing in this Friday's $30,000-to-win race. 

Many of the biggest names in pavement sprint car racing are currently entered, including Kody Swanson, Tyler Roahrig, Bobby Santos III, Jake Trainor, Davey Hamilton Jr. Troy DeCaire and more. 

The Race for the Million debuts at Five Flags Speedway and live on FloRacing with qualifying set for 6:05 p.m. CT on Friday. Heat racing is scheduled to begin at 7:20 p.m. CT prior to the C-Main, B-Main and $30,000-to-win A-Main.
