The 2026 Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing season continues March 19-21 at Central Arizona Raceway, the high-speed 4/10-mile oval in Casa Grande, Ariz., that hosts the three-night Cactus Classic that began with Thursday's 25-lap, $10,000-to-win feature.
Rocketing around Tanner Thorson on a lap-13 restart, Rico Abreu made his race car work all over the Casa Grande racing surface to lead the final 12 circuits, delivering his first victory driving for Tony Stewart's Carquest-sponsored No. 24 team. Abreu topped Thorson, who led laps 3-12, by 2.697 seconds while Daison Pursley avoided a midrace five-car pileup to go 10th-to-third, earning his first podium for Kasey Kahne Racing.
Five cautions slowed the 24-minute feature, none bigger than the lap-four pileup collecting third-running James McFadden, fourth-running Brian Brown, eighth-running Brent Marks, 16th-running Sye Lynch and 19th-running Sterling Cling. Aaron Reutzel also drew a caution lap eight when he wrecked out of the ninth position.
Tyler Courtney salvaged a 10th-place finish after suffering a flat tire during the caution period for Reutzel's lap-eight wreck.
