The 2026 Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing season opens March 12-14 at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, kicking off the series third full-time national campaign. Thursday's 25-lap feature launched the three-night event and 62-race schedule with every race streamed live on FloRacing.
Kyle Larson surged from fifth, ripping the cushion early before protecting the bottom late, to slip past race-long leader Giovanni Scelzi with eight laps remaining and narrowly fend off Corey Day by 0.096 seconds for Thursday’s season-opening victory, the third-closest finish in High Limit history.
Scelzi, in his second weekend driving for new operation Spire Motorsports, paced the opening 18 laps from the outside pole and led by nearly four seconds at one point in the caution-free feature. Pole-starting Brent Marks never led a lap and finished fourth.
