Jonathan Davenport rode the cushion to perfection at Golden Isles Speedway, leading start-to-finish in Thursday’s 40-lap Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Wieland Winternationals feature for his second straight feature victory around the 4/10-mile in his home state.

The Blairsville, Ga., veteran pocketed the $12,000 payday despite early contact with Tyler Erb and steady pressure through the middle stages from Hudson O’Neal and Mark Whitener. The win marked the 86th full-field triumph of his Lucas Oil career.

Five cautions slowed the 40-lap feature: the first on lap seven for Brian Shirley's flat tire; the second on the ensuing lap-seven restart for second-running Tyler Erb, whose attempt at passing Davenport for the lead went awry when he ran out of room and spun in turn one; Kyle Bronson, who slowed on lap 28; a lap-29 tangle involving Josh Rice and Daniel Hilsabeck; and a lap-31 collision between Cody Overton and Ross Bailes.
