The USAC National Sprint Car Series opened their points paying season at Volusia Speedway Park Monday night. 28 cars signed into the pit area with Jake Swanson setting quick-time in qualifying to begin the night. 

Heat races were won by Kevin Thomas Jr., Kyle Cummins and Briggs Danner. Ricky Lewis won the semi feature which set up a 25-lap main event. Logan Seavey and Brady Bacon led the field to green and really were the story of the race. Bacon would jump out the the early lead and Seavey would battle back. 

With ten laps to go Seavey showed the nose and with five to go he took the lead in traffic. Bacon then worked his way back around him as the two traded sliders. On the final lap the two battled for the lead ultimately it was Seavey who came out on top re-passing Bacon in turn two to take the lead. 

Bacon would finish second and Justin Grant finished third. Chase Stockon earned hard charger driving from 17th to 8th.
