Just like that, it’s already Friday at the 40th annual Chili Bowl Nationals powered by NOS Energy, and that means the final preliminary night of the week.

Friday night’s roster tentatively has 86 entries on the ChiliBowl.com website with all eyes on those last two lock-in spots available into Saturday’s 55-lap Championship A-Main. With 304 racers through the opening four nights, if Friday’s sign-in includes more than 78 cars then the 2026 running will top the all-time car count record set in 2022 with 381 cars.

All week long, we’ll take you through some of the stars to keep your eye on as you watch on FloRacing - the official live streaming partner of the event. Coverage begins at 3pm CT with the Chili’s Grill & Bar Pre-Race Show, followed by Dirt Draft Hot Laps at 4pm CT.

The top dog tonight is undoubtedly the two-time Chili Bowl champion Logan Seavey in his Swindell/Curb/Bertrand #39. The Sutter, California native has walked through the Expo all week with his head held high watching teammates Jett Barnes (3rd), Emerson Axsom (1st), and Kyle Cummins (5th) all thrive on their prelim nights. It’s finally his turn tonight with a fourth-straight Friday night triumph on the line for the USAC Triple Crown champ.

Pitted directly next to Seavey and the Swindell’s is perhaps their toughest competition tonight in Justin Grant and Chad Boat. It’s year two of JG piloting the NOS Energy Drink #87 inside the Tulsa Expo as both the driver and team continue pursuing their first preliminary win since 2022. Before Seavey came around, JG was the man they called Mr. Friday Night with five wins in a six-year span from 2017-22. The Ione, California native saw teammate Daison Pursley lock-in on Wednesday behind another Swindell car, now he hopes to flip the script for CB Industries.

For Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports, they’re trying to avoid not locking-in for the first time in 15 years tonight. The Chili Bowl powerhouse has two final chances this evening with Giovanni Scelzi making his return to Tulsa for the first time since 2021 to drive a Chili’s #71C and then Pennsylvanian Gavin Miller aboard the #97, who ran second to Seavey last year on Friday night.

Across the aisle is Matt Wood Racing, right there with Swindell SpeedLab and Alex Bowman Racing in a battle for the most consistent team in the building this week. So far this week, Shane Golobic (4th), Landon Brooks (5th), Colby Copeland (3rd), and Ryan Bernal (3rd) have had them in contention every single night. For the final prelim, they send Oklahoma’s own Daryn Pittman into battle as their leader with teenage rookie sensation Austin Wood also in the fold.

Following B-Main bound efforts by Kameron Key and Chase Randall earlier in the week, Michael Faccinto gets his chance to round out the lineup for Trifecta Motorsports in the #5U. The three-time Chili Bowl Championship A-Main starter and two-time Tulsa Shootout champion hopes to claim his first-career lock-in finish and avoid a dreaded B-Main battle with his teammates tomorrow night.

One of the best single-car, family-owned operations in the building, Andrew Felker chases his third Friday night podium tonight with previous third-place efforts in 2018 and 2024. The Carl Junction, Missouri racer is going for his fourth Championship A-Main starter aboard the Cooper & Hudson Felker owned #11A.

Don’t worry, the list of contenders tonight runs far beyond them. Look at these other aces that are set to run this evening…

FloRacing broadcaster Clinton Boyles goes in the Big Dog #11B, hoping to join dad Joe as A-Main starter

Casey Shuman dons an iconic throwback OFIXO look on his Whitz #21X in honor of dad Ron

Tyler Edwards, who made his first Championship A-Main last year, hoping to go back-to-back

Ronnie Gardner rounding out the RMS lineup after Spencer Bayston ran top-five last night

Matt Westfall completing the 4-Kings group after Boxell, Setser & KTJ

Kansan Jace Park driving a Glenn Styres / Kyle Cummins owned entry

Hayden Reinbold following in the footsteps of teammates Ricky Thornton Jr. and Mitchel Moles

IndyCar star Santino Ferrucci piloting an Abacus Racing ride

Oklahoman Ace McCarthy ready for his one race of the year in Tanner Thorson’s #28

Cale Coons hoping to join dad Jerry Coons Jr. with a trip to the B-Main or perhaps better

Tulsa Shootout star Chris Andrews set to run Jimmy Miller’s #95

Alphabet soup hero Jason McDougal in a Dan Binks entry

That’s only a sliver of the excitement in store tonight with almost 80 entries expected for the final of five prelims. The full tentative entry list for tonight can be found below.

We have 12 rookies slated to go tonight with notable young guns Austin Wood in a Matt Wood Racing car and Jett Nunley with Factory Fourteen, both kids are former Tulsa Shootout champions in recent years. There’s also sprint car regulars Levi Klatt and Rees Moran in the field for the first time. After four nights, 14-year-old Jett Barnes has emerged as the clear favorite for Rookie of the Year honors thanks to a third-place finish on Tuesday in the Swindell/Curb/Bertrand #1A - good enough to send him to the front of Saturday’s B-Main. From Monday, Jakeb Boxell and Gaige Weldon secured C-Main trips.

All of the Chili Bowl fun begins today with Friday Heat Races beginning at 4pm CT. If you can’t be here to witness the Tulsa magic yourself, you can watch every lap live all week long on FloRacing with coverage set to begin at 3pm CT during the all-new Chili’s Grill & Bar Pre-Race Show.
