The Chili Bowl Nationals aren’t just a race—they’re dirt racing folklore.

Since debuting in 1987, the event has grown into a January pilgrimage to the Tulsa Expo Raceway, where the quarter-mile clay oval hosts the sport’s best from January 12–17, 2026, for the 40th annual running.

Rich Vogler claimed the first victory, but history belongs to the Swindells. Sammy Swindell’s five wins remain unmatched, while son Kevin added four more during a dominant stretch.

The modern era, however, belongs to Kyle Larson, whose three Chili Bowl victories—including a commanding 2025 win—cement his place among the event’s elite.
