Thursday's Kubota Gateway Dirt Nationals Results At The Dome

Dirt Late Model racing's indoor spectacle, the Kubota Gateway Dirt Nationals at The Dome at America’s Center, takes over Downtown St. Louis for the event's ninth running this week.

Taking advantage of his team winning the Hellraizer Jacks Pit Stop Challenge, Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Ill., took the command for good on lap four and never looked back for his third career Gateway Dirt Nationals prelim victory and fifth overall triumph inside The Dome at America's Center.

Second-starting Mike Harrison led the opening three laps before ceding the lead to Pierce, who dispatched the Highland, Ill., veteran using a barrage of slide jobs. Along with Pierce and Harrison, third-finishing Brandon Sheppard are locked into Saturday's main event.

Two stoppages slowed the 25-lap feature: lap seven for fence repairs, which drew the red flag for approximately 10 minutes, and lap 15 for debris. For Thursday's full-field results from the fifth-mile indoor oval, see below.
