Coltman Farms Racing Makes Driver Change For 2026 Season
Coltman Farms Racing has hired the 2025 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie of the Year.

Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga., fresh off his Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie of the Year season, will join the Coltman Farms Racing team for a national touring schedule in 2026, the Maysville, Ga.-based team announced.
McIntosh, 32, will be a teammate on the national level to current Coltman Farms Racing driver Tanner English of Benton, Ky., who followed the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series in 2025. McIntosh (pictured) last month departed the Billy Hicks Racing ride he’d held since July 2023.
Coltman Farms Racing driver Zack Mitchell of Enoree, S.C., who won eight times in 2025 running a more regional schedule, was not mentioned in the team's press release announcing McIntosh's hiring. But the 29-year-old driver confirmed to DirtonDirt this morning that he has parted ways with the team.
“I have raced Late Models for 12 years now and drove for multiple teams, but the opportunity to drive for Brett Coltman and Coltman Farms Racing is the biggest thing that’s happened in my career,” said McIntosh, who plans to debut for the team next week at the Kubota Gateway Dirt Nationals. “Brett has done so much for the motorsports industry these last few years, so it’s an honor to be part of his program in 2026.
“I feel very blessed for the opportunity and I’m looking forward to what we can accomplish together.”
The nine-time regional touring champion, who has enjoyed Coltman Farms Racing sponsorship for three seasons, finished 10th in Lucas Oil Series points in 2025 with a single top-five finish. He posted 11 top-10 finishes and outpointed his fellow rookies Daniel Hilsabeck (-330 points) and Dan Ebert (-550).
“I’ve known Donald for several years now and I’ve had the pleasure of watching him develop as a race car driver. I’ve watched him perform at the highest levels of our sport and I know he has what it takes to win,” team owner Brett Coltman said, adding that he'll have more team news soon. “He’s going to be an incredible asset to Coltman Farms Racing. He is a role model on and off the race track and is the type of everyday hero we should all strive to be. I’m proud to kick off this new era with Donald beginning at the Gateway Dirt Nationals.”
Mitchell told DirtonDirt that his split with Coltman comes as they "both had different visions moving forward." He said he is looking for another opportunity but still has all of his family-owned equipment available, including the hauler, cars and engines that he also utilized while with Coltman since mid-August 2024
