Maryland International Raceway is set to host a week of high speed racing as the outdoor temperatures drop and the speedometer rises on an early November week at the Haltech World Cup Finals 2025.

Featuring some of the fastest classes in motorsports, drivers will be hoping to take home a piece of the $275,000 purse from the massive drag racing event, November 6-9.

The 2025 Haltech World Cup Finals: Import vs Domestic is streaming live on FloRacing. We talked to FloRacing senior content creator Courtney Enders about why you should tune in this Nov. 6-9.

Four Reasons To Watch The 2025 World Cup Finals: Import vs. Domestic

1. $275,000 Up For Grabs

As one of the biggest purses up for grabs on the drag racing calendar, drivers swarm to the World Cup Finals to test their machinery against the best. It's not just money, though, the drivers are fighting for, "a lot of pride walks out of the World Cup Finals for more than just money and trophies" said Enders.

2. Cleetus McFarland Is Back

Cleetus McFarland has entertained fans on and off the track for years—and he's bringing the show to World Cup Finals with some drama with Joel Grannas that has carried over from FL2K.

"You can expect the 'stick shift to the lanes' gate to be talked about and settled on and off the track," commented Enders.

3. Miller's Award Winning Track Preparation at MIR

Although the nearly $300,000 is pretty enticing, many drivers come to Maryland International Raceway just to test their mettle on the top tier track preparation by the Millers and team.

Operating MIR since 1990, the Millers have been devoted to bringing quality drag racing to MIR for decades and transformed it into what you see today.

Now in management roles, the family is still involved day-in and day-out. Jason continues to lead the MIR surface preparation that draws in competitors every year.

Courtney described the family: "The Miller family doesn't do anything half way... the race is already sold out which tells you everything you need to know about the events Royce, Jason and team put on."

4. Jimmy Taylor Going For 1/4 Mile World Record

Jimmy Taylor is going big or going home in his Outlaw Pro Mod car after seeing recent signs of success in the past month.

"If his 1/8 mile record he just set and the testing he's done since are anything like what we will see at MIR, you're not going to want to miss history. It's fast, it's dangerous, and it's the coolest racing on the planet."
