Race fans will once again have a say in who has the best-looking ride at the 2025 Kubota Gateway Dirt Nationals, as FloRacing and event organizers bring back the Best Appearing Car Award for the Super Late Model and Modified divisions.

Each year, drivers and teams roll into The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis showcasing creative paint schemes and designs that capture the excitement and energy of one of dirt racing’s most electric weekends. This year, those efforts will once again be recognized — and rewarded.

FloRacing and the Kubota Gateway Dirt Nationals will award a $1,000 prize to the winner in each division.

Brandon Sheppard claimed last year’s Best Appearing Car Award for the Super Late Model division, while Chase Holland claimed top honors for the Modifieds. 

Fan voting for the 2025 Best Appearing Car Award will open on FloRacing on Friday, December 5, once all cars have been presented for competition. Voting will close on Sunday, December 7, with the winners announced on Monday, December 8 across FloRacing and Gateway Dirt Nationals social media channels.

Before fan voting begins, a panel of FloRacing and Gateway Dirt Nationals officials will select 10 cars in each division that will be eligible for the award. From there, it’s up to the fans to decide who takes home the honors.

Fans can visit FloRacing.com to view photo galleries of the eligible entries and cast their votes — up to four times per day — once voting opens.

The 2025 Kubota Gateway Dirt Nationals kick off Thursday, December 4 with the first night of preliminary action. A second night of prelims follows on Friday, December 5, leading into Saturday night’s main event on December 6.
