Kubota High Limit Racing visited Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., on Friday and Saturday for the two-day Heartland of America Showdown, the penultimate weekend for the second-year series that concludes 2025 on Oct. 17-18 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Driving around early pacesetter Ryan Timms on Lap 11 of 30 in traffic and holding serve the rest of the way, Brad Sweet snapped a 27-race winless drought in Saturday's $25,000-to-win finale at Lakeside — his first High Limit victory since July 11. Sweet's fourth series victory of 2025 came 0.905 seconds over Ryan Timms, who led the opening 10 laps from the pole.

Timms inherited second on Lap 28 when Chase Randall ran out of room along the cushion through Turns 3 and 4 battling Timms hard for the second spot. Rico Abreu finished third from the seventh-starting spot as his lead over Sweet in the driver title chase shrinks to 30 points with three races left but extends to 20 points over Aaron Reutzel in the car owner standings.
