Entry List, How To Watch & More For The ValleyStar 300 At Martinsville
Entry list, broadcast information, event schedule, and more for the 30th ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway.

It’s finally race week for the 30th ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway. Nearly 80 cars have filed entries all with their eyes set on taking home a grandfather clock and $32,000. On top of that, the Virginia Triple Crown will see its champion decided, with another $20,000 on the line for the victor and $50,000 in total prize money to be dispersed.
In other words, Saturday at Martinsville Speedway will be a big day for the Late Model Stock Car world. To make sure you’re up to speed, we’ve got all the information you could possibly need right here.
How Does the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 Work?
The ValleyStar Credit Union 300 is 300 total laps of racing in one day at the half-mile paperclip of mayhem known as Martinsville Speedway. The feature race will see a starting field of 40 cars due battle over 200 laps. The other 100 laps comes from four 25-lap heat races on Saturday afternoon that will set the starting lineup for the main event.
Currently only two drivers are locked into the starting lineup. By virtue of winning the first leg of the Virginia Triple Crown, the Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200 at South Boston Speedway back in June, Connor Hall is guaranteed a starting position. Matt Waltz is also locked in thanks to his victory in July’s Hampton Heat 200, the second leg of the Virginia Triple Crown.
Beyond those two drivers, everybody else has to qualify their way into the main event through the dreaded 25-lap heat races. Each heat race will see the top 10 finishers advance, unless Hall and/or Walz fail to finish in the top 10 in their heat race.
The 200-lap feature will be broken down into three segments. The first segment is 100 laps. The second segment is 75 laps, and the final segment is 25 laps. There will be a five-minute break at Lap 100, and Lap 175.
Caution laps count in the feature, but do not count in the heat races. There will be unlimited attempts at a Green-White-Checkered finish in the feature, but there will only be one attempt in the heat races.
Who Is Racing The ValleyStar Credit Union 300?
Nearly 80 drivers have filed entries to compete in this weekend’s ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway. A whole host of CARS Tour competitors, including Connor Hall, Landon Huffman, Brandon Pierce, Ronnie Bassett Jr., Donovan Strauss, Parker Eatmon, Carson Loftin, Doug Barnes Jr., and Kade Brown will be in action.
Five-time Virginia Triple Crown champ and 2022 ValleyStar Credit Union 300 champion Peyton Sellers will be in action looking for his second grandfather clock. Lee Pulliam is back for the second year in a row in pursuit of a third clock. Other former winners like Landon Pembelton, Trevor Ward, Mike Looney, Jake Crum, and Jamey Caudill will also be in competition.
The defending NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion, Ty Majeski, will also be in action this weekend as he searches for the first grandfather clock of his career.

What Is The Virginia Triple Crown?
The Virginia Triple Crown is a three-race mini-series consisting of the Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200 at South Boston Speedway, the Hampton Heat 200 at Langley Speedway, and this weekend's ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway. The Virginia Triple Crown debuted in 2012 and since then, Danville, Virginia's Peyton Sellers has won it the most with an astounding five crowns to his name.
This year, thanks to a partnership between NASCAR and FloSports, the Virginia Triple Crown saw a massive overall purse boost with now the entire purse paying $50,000 throughout the top 10 in Triple Crown standings. The champion will receive a $20,000 top prize as well. If the winner of the race is the same as the champion of the Triple Crown, that driver will take home a $52,000 check on Saturday evening.
Currently, Connor Hall leads the Virginia Triple Crown standings after scoring the win at South Boston and finishing second in the Hampton Heat at Langley. The rest of the top 10 includes Ronnie Bassett Jr., Woody Howard, Darren Krantz Jr., Kade Brown, Brandon Pierce, Ryan Millington, Carson Loftin, Parker Eatmon, and Doug Barnes Jr.
