An evening after rain cut Thursday's program short, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series completed its second prelim night of the 21st annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals presented by All Makes Collision Center at Knoxville Raceway.

Devin Moran led the final nine of 25 laps when he slid in front of race-long pacesetter Brandon Overton exiting turn two on Lap 17 to capture the $10,000 preliminary feature victory at the Sprint Car Capital of the World. The fourth-starting Moran picked up his eighth series victory of the season as he beat Overton (led the opening 16 laps) by 0.517 of a second.

A single caution slowed the action for a slowing Hudson O'Neal with for a lap-nine yellow.
