There wasn’t a full moon above South Boston Speedway, but there was a fireworks show both on and above the historic short track during the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Stock feature. In the end it was Kaden Honeycutt surviving all of the chaos to make it back to victory lane in a Late Model Stock Car for the first time in three years.

Honeycutt had to survive a green-white-checkered restart and barely held off Conner Jones at the checkered flag by 0.085-second after Jones made a daring move from the outside of turn two to the bottom of the backstretch, back to the top entering turn three and then back to the bottom on the exit of turn four.

Carson Loftin finished third, which is his best finish in a Late Model Stock Car. Points leader Landen Lewis rebounded from pitting with a potential flat tire to finish fourth, with Mason Diaz rounding out the top five.

Lewis’ rebound back to fourth should give him a very healthy lead over Connor Hall heading to the penultimate race of the 2025 campaign at Tri-County Motor Speedway on October 4 after Hall was caught up in one of the big late-race crashes. Hall limped his badly damaged race car to an 18th-place finish.
