One of Dirt Modified racing’s crown jewel events, the Fonda 200, returned Saturday night to Fonda Speedway for its 33rd running. A 31-car field of Short Track Super Series Modifieds took the green flag, but when the checkered flew, it was Matt Sheppard who stood tall, securing his second consecutive Fonda 200 victory.

Sheppard overcame adversity on multiple occasions throughout the Fonda 200 -- including a broken rear end in Friday's qualifiers and a flat tire in Saturday's 200-lap main event. In the end, Sheppard made his way to the front and pulled away over the final 100 laps to win his third Fonda 200 in four years. 

Jack Lehner battled near the front of the field for the majority of the 200-lap event before coming home second for the second straight year. Ronnie Johnson picked off a few positions late to round out the podium.
