Cleetus McFarland will be taking on the high-banks of the Last Great Colosseum on Thursday night with the ARCA Menards Series as he continues his foray into stock car racing. McFarland, whose real name is Garrett Mitchell, will be making his fourth start with the ARCA Menards Series on Thursday night at Bristol Motor Speedway.

McFarland made his ARCA debut in February at Daytona International Speedway. He finished 30th after getting caught up in one of the many crashes that day. But in his two ARCA Menards Series starts since then, at Talladega Superspeedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway, McFarland has scored two consecutive top-10 finishes.

The driver out of Bradenton, Florida finished ninth at Charlotte back in May even with some crash damage that was sustained when he made a mistake on a restart. McFarland cycled to the front of the field when most of the field pitted. He caused a stack-up on the restart that resulted in damage to his own car as well as multiple others. But, McFarland was able to rebound and finish ninth one lap down even with some damage from that crash.

Thursday’s race at Bristol will be McFarland’s first ARCA Menards Series start at the famed half-mile oval, though he has been to Bristol on multiple occasions as part of his “Cleetus and Cars” travelling series of events. McFarland has raced Ford Crown Victoria’s on Bristol’s high banks on both the concrete surface that he’ll race on Thursday night, and on the dirt surface as well.

McFarland will take on the likes of ARCA Menards Series points leader Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, Brent Crews, Jake Finch, and more at Bristol Motor Speedway live on FS1 at 5:30 p.m. ET.
