Kubota High Limit Racing Sprint Cars kicked off the Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal Speedway on Thursday night with a 25-lap preliminary feature. Anthony Macri opened up the prestigious event in victory lane, leading wire-to-wire to score the $10,000 victory. 

Starting from the outside of the front row, Macri jumped out to the lead over polesitter Brenham Crouch as Crouch and Whittall battled for the runner-up spot. Whittall, the current Port Royal points leader, ultimately claimed the second spot on the podium and Crouch claimed his best career High Limit Racing finish with a third. 

Danny Dietrich finished fourth and defending Tuscarora 50 winner Rico Abreu completed the top five.

Action will continue with another preliminary night on Friday to set the stage for Saturday's $58,000-to-win main event. All three nights of racing will be streamed live on FloRacing.
