Sheldon Haudenschild will be a free agent following the conclusion of the 2025 World of Outlaws Sprint Car season in November, he announced on his social media channels on Thursday evening.

Haudenschild will leave the No. 17 for Stenhouse Jr. Marshall Racing following the final night of World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, November 8, he announced in a press release on Thursday.

“Driving the No. 17 has been an incredible chapter in my career,” Haudenschild said in a press release. “I’m thankful to Ricky, Richard, the crew, and all of our partners for the opportunities we’ve had together. We’ve made some great memories and I’ll always value my time with this team.”

Haudenschild joined SJM Racing in 2017 and scored 44 World of Outlaws victories in his eight seasons with the team. He currently sits 19th on the all-time World of Outlaws wins list. Haudenschild scored victories in the Huset’s High Bank Nationals, the Ironman 55, and more. He won nine total races in 2022 with SJM, the most of any season in his World of Outlaws career.

Haudenschild's crew chief, Kyle Ripper, will depart along with Haudenschild, the team announced in their statement. Ripper joined the team in 2020 to reunite with Haudenschild.

"We at SJMR are so proud of what we've accomplished together with Sheldon over the past eight seasons," the team said in a statement. "It's been a great run with more than 40 wins and we're aiming to add a few more before the season ends. We are grateful for everything him and Kyle have done for our team,  and we wish them nothing but success in the future."

The World of Outlaws and Haudenschild will be in action at New Mexico’s Vado Speedway Park for two nights on Friday, September 5, and Saturday, September 6.
