For the first time since the event's inception in 1967, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Hillbilly Hundred ran at Pennsylvania's Lernerville Speedway as action rounded out Saturday with the 100-lap, $30,000-to-win finale.

Snuffing out Jonathan Davenport's late-race charge in which he pulled side-by-side for the lead down the backstretch with nine laps remaining, Ricky Thornton Jr. wound up leading all 100 laps of the 57th annual Hillbilly Hundred at the 3/8-mile Sarver, Pa., oval. It's Thornton's first-career Hillbilly 100 triumph and third-career 100-lap victory at Lernerville along with two career Firecracker 100 wins.

Davenport, who started from the pole, finished 1.397 seconds behind. Max Blair rounded out the podium in third from the 13th-starting spot. 

Eight cautions slowed the feature: Lap 2 for 21st-running Daniel Hilsabeck's flat left-rear tire; lap 15 for 23rd-running Donald McIntosh; lap 18 for ninth-running Joseph Joiner, who spun in turn four; lap 27 for Tim McCreadie, who suffered a left-rear flat tire battling for ninth; lap 37 for 18th-running Ken Schaltenbrand, who spun on his lonesome in turn four; lap 39 for Cory Lawler, who went up in smoke running 18th; lap 43 for 21st-running Hudson O'Neal, who slowed on the backstretch; and lap 90 for Schaltenbrand, who slowed on the backsrtretch
