Kubota High Limit Racing visited one of the most scenic racetracks in the country Monday at Oregon's Douglas County Dirt Track, which hosted the Showdown on the River presented by Seven Feathers Casino Resort.
Leading the final 29 of 35 laps to snap his 16-race winless drought on the tour, Brent Marks stormed to his first career on the West Coast with his 2.570-seccond victory over runner-up Tanner Thorson. It was Marks's first victory of any kind since May 24's Bob Weikert Memorial prelim triumph at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway.
Justin Sanders faded to finish eighth after leading the opening six laps aboard the Ridge & Sons Racing No. 87 as the fill-in driver for the injured Aaron Reutzel. Corey Day earned hard-charger honors with his 18th-to-third performance. Sixteen drivers finished on the lead lap.
