Keelan Harvick To Make Super Late Model Debut In October
Keelan Harvick will step up to Super Late Models for the first time at Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway in October.

At just 13 years old, Keelan Harvick will be taking the next step up the ladder of his racing career on October 25 at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway in Bakersfield, California. The son of the 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion will be making his Super Late Model debut at the high-banked half-mile oval with CARS Tour West.
Harvick moved up to the Pro Late Model ranks earlier this year and has had a ton of success so far. Harvick has won multiple races on both sides of the country at Kern Raceway in May and at Hickory Motor Speedway in July, as well as at Colorado National Speedway just last week.
A Super Late Model and a Pro Late Model are similar straight-rail chassis race cars, but Super Late Models output close to 600 horsepower.
Harvick’s debut in the Super Late Model will come at the same place where he made his Pro Late Model debut, and also eventually won his first Pro Late Model race, at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway, in his father’s hometown of Bakersfield, California. He’ll also be racing a throwback to his father’s Southwest Tour car with sponsorship from Spears Manufacturing.

“Racing a Super Late Model at Kern is going to be awesome,” said Keelan Harvick. “Doing it in a throwback to my dad’s Spears car is cool, too. Everyone in Bakersfield has been super supportive of racing, and the Spears partnership means a lot to my family. It’s awesome to carry on that tradition.”
This race will also serve as another round in the Harvick Cup fueled by Hunt Brothers Pizza as Kevin Harvick will also be in competition in that same race.
So far, Keelan Harvick has gotten the best of his father throughout the Harvick Cup. Kevin and Keelan each took a victory on the first night of the Harvick Cup at Kern Raceway. Since then, it’s been all Keelan as he has scored Harvick Cup head-to-head victories at Evergreen Speedway, Hickory Motor Speedway, and Colorado National Speedway.
The remainder of the Harvick Cup fueled by Hunt Brothers Pizza will take place at the Las Vegas Bullring on October 10 with CARS Tour West, North Wilkesboro Speedway on October 18 with the CARS Tour, October 25 in a Super Late Model with CARS Tour West at Kern Raceway, and it will wrap up on November 15 with CARS Tour West at Kern Raceway in Pro Late Model competition.
