Clinton Boyles will fill the seat for the injured Robert Ballou and the Robert Ballou Racing #12 in the upcoming USAC National Sprint Car events at Kokomo Speedway during the Elliott's Custom Trailers & Carts Sprint Car Smackdown XIV. 

Boyles last start in the USAC Kokomo Sprint Car Smackdown came in 2020. Ballou will miss eight weeks due to a back injury he sustained in a crash at Bloomington during Indiana Sprint Week.

 "He’s done it before, let’s see if he can do it again! Since I’m on the sideline, I’m excited to let Clinton Boyles rip the 12 this weekend at the Smackdown." Ballou said on his social channels today. "Clinton has shown he’s got skills in the seat and on the wrenches, and we’re excited to see if he can get us all back to Kokomo Speedway victory lane!"

Boyles won in July of 2020 for the Legendary Paul Hazen during a local show at Kokomo Speedway. He recently raced a winged sprint car with the Powri Honest Abe Roofing 410 Sprint Cars and finished 2nd behind Xavier Doney at Missouri State Fair Speedway.

 He has spent the last half a decade wrenching on 410 winged sprint cars, a long-time crew chief for Vermeer Motorsports and a crew member for Indy Race Parts most recently.
