The USAC Silver Crown Series contested their annual 100-lap event at the Illinois State Fairgrounds Saturday with the running of the Bettenhausen 100. 

Kody Swanson earned the pole position for the event but Matt Westfall led the opening lap. Swanson would close in on Westfall just six laps in, and on lap 9 would make the pass for the lead. Carmen Perigo would charge from his eighth starting spot quickly to second on lap 15. Then the race was halted for a red flag for Will Armitage who was running 13th. 

On lap 34 Perigo drove to the lead around Kody Swanson, and with 50 to go Perigo had a three second lead. Kody Swanson would quickly track him back down, and on lap 59 Swanson would drive to the lead.

That's how they would finish with Kody Swanson winning his fourth Bettenhausen 100 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Westfall closed in on the leader with seven laps remaining but it wouldn't be enough. He would finish second, while Mario Clouser finished third.
