Donny Schatz Racing For Lunstra Saturday At Jackson After Ogilvie Flip
Donny Schatz won't be racing for Big Game Motorsports on Saturday at Jackson Motorplex on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

Donny Schatz will be driving for his third different race team over the last eight days in Saturday's World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at Jackson (Minn.) Motorplex as Dave Lunstra-owned Lunstra Motorsports will be fielding an entry for the 10-time series champ.
The 48-year-old is still signed on with Big Game Motorsports as teammates with David Gravel through Aug. 31, but after Friday's opening-lap wreck at Ogilvie (Minn.) Speedway in which he flipped and "tore up last night pretty good," Schatz's Tod Quiring-owned car is out of commission Saturday.

"When Tod and Cody (Jacobs) and all the Big Game guys presented me the opportunity to run these seven races, it's really based on the pretenses of not tearing stuff up or having engine issues, two things that really don't happen around me or them," Schatz said in a video posted on social media. "We tore up last night pretty good. That leaves us to, we won't be in Jackson tonight with the Big Game No. 15 ShopHuset's.com car. I need some frame repair.
"Thanks to Dave Lunstra, I will be at Jackson tonight racing. I will be driving the Lunstra Motorsports car with the No. 15 on it, it sounds like. So thanks to Dave for the opportunity, presenting this to me for tonight."
It’s no secret that last night didn’t go according to plan, but thanks to Lunstra Motorsports, we’ll be in action at @jacksonmotorplx! pic.twitter.com/H20KMRXfxs

Thanks again to Lunstra Motorsports for putting this together. See you at Jackson! pic.twitter.com/3ad8HlRrTa
Fellow and former WoO champ Daryn Pittman put the Lunstra Motorsports machine into the Knoxville Nationals A-main last Saturday.
Schatz started 10th in Friday's feature at Ogilvie Speedway until getting caught up in an open-corner crash. He's supposed to be back in action with the Big Game on Tuesday at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis., but Schatz stated "we just have to take and analyze where it's at" and there's no guarantees on anything."
Schatz also has races planned on Aug. 22 at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks and Aug. 23 at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, mere miles from his home, with the Big Game team.
His final shows with the Big Game team are slated for Aug. 30-31 at the Quiring-owned Huset’s Speedway at the L.G. Everist Huset’s Shootout.
We'll see what happens, see if the car can be fixed, or not fixed," said Schatz, who's competed in 1,601 straight WoO events dating back to 2003. "Appreciate the support, I guess that's the way the racing world is. When it rains it pours. Hopefully see everybody at Jackson or tune in on DIRTVision."
