Harvick Cup Heads To Colorado National Speedway With CARS Tour West
Entry list for the CARS Tour West Pro Late Models at Colorado National Speedway for Saturday, August 16, 2025.

The Harvick Cup rolls into Dacono, Colorado for Round Four as the CARS Tour West Pro Late Models take on the 0.375-mile Colorado National Speedway on Saturday night. Kevin Harvick and Keelan Harvick headline the entry list, but there’s a strong crop of contenders who have made the trip to the Centennial State looking to steal the headlines.
So far the Harvick Cup fueled by Hunt Brothers Pizza has belonged to Keelan Harvick. The 13-year-old driver has gotten the upper hand on his NASCAR Cup Series champion father on three occasions, while Kevin Harvick scored one victory in the first race at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway in Bakersfield, California way back in May.
Keelan Harvick ended up quickly evening the score later that evening by winning the second race that night. He backed that up with a second-place finish at Washington’s Evergreen Speedway in June. Keelan then went to victory lane on the east coast at Hickory Motor Speedway with the CARS Tour.
But Kevin Harvick might have the advantage heading into Saturday’s race as he just turned laps at Colorado National Speedway a few weeks ago. Even though it was a Super Late Model race, the runner-up finish gave the 2007 Daytona 500 champion plenty of track time ahead of Saturday’s Pro Late Model race.
Who was the driver that beat Harvick that night? That would be a fellow Bakersfield, California native, Buddy Shepherd. Shepherd is making the long trek east to Dacono with eyes on making it two straight trips to Colorado National with victories.
Shepherd isn’t the only driver making the trip east to Dacono from the Golden State. In fact, 12 of the drivers entered in Saturday’s race call California home, or at least their home state in the case of Harvick who now lives in North Carolina.
Saturday’s entry list is made up of drivers from five different states. California has the most, while Colorado has two, and Arizona, Washington, and North Carolina have one each.
But even though Colorado only has two drivers represented, there’s a strong chance that the winner’s trophy will stay in Colorado. Greeley, Colorado’s Brett Yackey has a bunch of victories at the Dacono oval, and he’s the multi-time and defending track champion in the Late Model division.
