Topless 100 Notes
- It’s the final of three straight crown jewel events for Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competitors, as they invade Batesville Motor Speedway for the two-day 33rd annual Nutrien Ag Solutions Topless 100 presented by Big River Steel.
- This year’s edition features twin 25-lap, $5,000-to-win split-field semifeatures Friday (the format had been a single $5,000-to-win prelim in past years) with prelim points setting the lineups for Saturday’s consolations and 100-lap, $50,000-to-win main event.
- Tim McCreadie of Watertown, N.Y., earned his second career Topless victory last year (2008), his lone victory aboard Mark Richards’s Rocket1 entry. He’s not expected, the first time in event history with the previous winner not returning to compete.
- Flamboyant and innovate promoter Mooney Starr, a National Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer, promotes the track with wife Connie.
- Series points leader Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Ga., eyes his second career $50,000 Topless payday (he first won in 2022). Davenport’s Double L Mortorsports team is based in Batesville.
- Modifieds are on the undercard.
- Pits open at 3 p.m. and grandstands open at 4 for Friday’s opener; all gates open at 4 for Saturday’s finale. Hot laps at 7:30 nightly.
