The 26-year-old of Lebanon, Ind., completed his final race for the JMR No. 14 team at Sunday's Knoxville Nationals where he started 16th and finished 22nd after completing 30 of 50 laps. With the news, JMR revealed they are consolidating its team into a one-car operation with Corey Day as the stable's lone driver at the moment.
"With the remainder of the season in mind and looking ahead to 2026, Jason Meyers Racing will be transitioning to a single-car effort for the rest of the 2025 season," the JMR team released per statement on social media. "Corey Day will handle driving duties as his schedule allows, while the team evaluates plans for the remaining High Limit Racing events in the coming weeks.
"As part of this shift, and after careful consideration with respect for all parties involved, Jason Meyers Racing and Spencer Bayston have mutually agreed to part ways for the remainder of the season."
Bayston, who's plans have yet to be revealed for the remainder of the 2025 season, was 11th in High Limit Racing points. He thanked the JMR team for their time together, a stint that lasted 10 months and 57 races, on social media.
Thank you to Jason and Preston for the opportunity to drive the JMR 14. I’d also like to express my appreciation to Shane Bowers, Lawton Leppo, and Cobe Stidham for the time and effort they dedicated throughout the season, and to Corey for being such a great teammate. I wish them… https://t.co/jzNqN7mYpW

Team owner Jason Meyers and his operation also stated that "the organization remains committed to the vision and future of the High Limit Racing Series" while confirming that crew chiefs Wayne Priddy (Day) and Shane Bowers (Bayston) "will both remain valuable members of the Jason Meyers Racing program moving forward."
"We are extremely grateful for the relationship we've built with Spencer and his wife, Audrey, their friendship means the world to us," Meyers said. "While these decisions are never easy, they come after many efforts to improve our overall results as a team. The timing of this decision comes during a point in the year when there are a lot of moving components for teams and drivers to determine their plans for the following season.
"We wanted to not only evaluate our own direction for next year, but also give Spencer the time and opportunity to explore his options. Spencer has been a great ambassador for our team, and this season has been a learning experience for everyone involved. We wish Spencer and Audrey nothing but the best in their future endeavors, and we will continue to be big supporters of theirs."
Day assumes driving duties of the team's No. 14 machine Aug. 15 at Thunderbowl Raceway, the start of the nine-race West Coast swing through Aug. 30.
"Like Jason, I have tremendous respect for Spencer and Audrey, and I'm thankful for the time we had working together," JMR co-owner Preston Cross said. "I also want to recognize our entire crew, no matter the challenges, they've shown great attitude, work ethic, and determination to chase the best results possible. We're proud of how they've handled the ups and downs, and we're grateful to all our partners for their continued support as we navigate this transition."
