A Foot Race?

What makes the Front Row Challenge unique beyond the fact that it's sandwiched between the Capitani Classic at Knoxville Raceway and the Knoxville Nationals is that for the fourth year in a row, a foot race on the frontstretch will determine the top-eight starting positions.

Three 40-yard dashes will be contested with the top-two finishers from the first two dashes racing for the pole position in the final dash. The overall winner of the foot race will win the pole position for the 30-lap main event.
