Sweet was racing for a transfer spot on lap 4 of the 10-lap World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series heat race when he made contact with the wall and helicoptered down the race track before being hit by Cale Thomas. The contact sent Sweet's car flipping before landing on four tires.

Sweet exited his No. 49 Sprint Car gingerly before being placed on a stretcher and taken to the infield medical center for evaluation. He was alert and speaking with the safety crew following the crash.
After being evaluated in the infield medical center, Sweet was transported to a nearby medical facility for scans before being discharged later in the evening.
Kubota High Limit Racing is next in action Tuesday night at Lernerville Speedway. It is unclear at this time if Sweet will be cleared to compete in that event.
