Kalib Henry Injury Update After Crash At Attica Raceway Park
Sprint Car racer Kalib Henry was injured in a crash in Tuesday's World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series race at Attica Raceway Park.

Sprint Car racer Kalib Henry was transported via helicopter to an Ohio hospital following a violent crash at Attica Raceway Park in the Brad Doty Classic on Tuesday night. According to Henry’s Facebook page, preliminary scans have all come back clear.
Henry was involved in a crash with Brady Bacon in the B-Main as the two battled for a transfer position into Tuesday’s main event. The incident happened on the final lap of the B-Main as the pair of drivers raced towards the finish line. Bacon tried to pull a slider on the bottom and failed to clear Henry on the exit of the corner, resulting in contact that led to Henry’s violent crash.
The initial report from safety crews was that Henry was awake and communicating, and was moving. Soon after, the decision was made to bring in a helicopter to airlift Henry to an area hospital for further evaluation.
At 1:15 a.m. ET, Henry’s Facebook page posted an update explaining that all preliminary scans had come back clear.
“At this time there is no indications of any further head, neck, or back injuries,” the post explained. “More assessment will be completed when final test results are received and evaluated. Further updates will be provided when available.”
More recently, Henry's father posted an update to his personal Facebook page around 11 a.m. ET that offered a little bit more detail, including that all scans to date have not shown any evidence of broken bones.
"As of now it's our understanding that the scans they have done show no broken bones, but has most of his pain in his lower back. At some point there will be an MRI of his head and back to rule out any head trauma and find the source of the back pain. He's also very sore and bruised. A lot has happened in a short time. We made it hear at 7 this a.m. and we were able to chat with him."
Bacon took to Facebook on Wednesday morning to express his concerns for Henry and address the incident itself.
“We were racing hard on the final lap for the final transfer spot to the A main,” explained Bacon. “I made a move to try to slide across and beat him to the exit of turn 4. He got a big run on the top and I did not clear him. I made contact with him resulting in the wreck. I am disappointed that I put us both in that situation, and obviously even more disappointed in the results that followed. My thoughts and prayers are with Kalib, his family, friends, and team. I hope the news concerning his condition continues to be positive and wish him a quick and complete recovery.”
Henry scored four victories in the Attica Fremont 410 Championship Series in 2024, and became a winner with the All Star Circuit of Champions earlier this year at Fremont Speedway.
