After Mother Nature claimed both prelim nights, the 19th annual Firecracker 100 presented by Experience Butler County, Pa., was contested in a single-day program at Lernerville Speedway on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

Snatching the lead from the pole-starting Ricky Thornton Jr. on lap two and turning back Thornton once more with 16 laps to go, Jonathan Davenport cruised to his first-ever Firecracker 100 triumph. Davenport commanded all but two laps in topping Thornton, who led the opening lap and lap 85.

Davenport’s first-ever Firecracker 100 triumph comes in his nine career feature start at the event. His previous best Firecracker finish was third in 2023 when he led the opening 44 laps. It’s Davenport’s 10th overall victory of the 2025 season, five now coming on the Lucas Oil tour. 

Max Blair ran second from laps 73-84 until he got out of shape in turn four on lap 84, making slight contact with Davenport battling for the lead. Devin Moran pulled into the hot pit while running fourth on lap 59. He restarted 22nd.

Six cautions slowed the 100-lap feature: Lap 21 for 16th-running Carson Ferguson, who spun in turn two and then expressed displeasure with Daulton Wilson while driving back to the hot pit; lap 30 for 18th-running Ken Schaltenbrand, who spun between turns three and four; lap 44 for 15th-running Brandon Overton, who spun off the banking of turn four; lap 59 for 16th- and 17th-running Wilson and Ferguson, who tangled in turn two; lap 78 for 12th-running Josh Rice, who spun off the banking between turns one and two; lap 84 for 13th-running Schaltenbrand.
