This weekend, the best Sprint Car drivers on the west coast head to Alger, Washington’s Skagit Speedway to race for a massive pay day in the NARC Jim Raper Memorial Super Dirt Cup. From current entries, to the format, to the event schedule, and beyond, here is everything you need to know before this weekend’s Super Dirt Cup.
What’s The Purse?
This year’s Super Dirt Cup purse is absolutely massive. In 2024, this event paid out $62,000 to the winner. Which was a lot of money. But this year it’s even bigger. This year, the winner will take home a check for $100,026.
Where Is The Super Dirt Cup Held?
The Jim Raper Memorial Super Dirt Cup takes place at Skagit Speedway, a lightning-fast 3/10-mile oval in Alger, Washington. Skagit Speedway is tucked away at the halfway point between Vancouver, Canada, and Seattle, Washington.
Who Is Racing In The Super Dirt Cup?
Some of the biggest names in west coast Sprint Car racing, as well as national Sprint Car racing, are headed to Skagit Speedway for this weekend’s event. This year’s entry list boasts names like James McFadden, Brent Marks, Cory Eliason, Justin Peck, Justin Sanders, Dominic Scelzi, Trey Starks, Danny Sams III, Sye Lynch, Robbie Price, Tanner Holmes, Shane Golobic, and more.

What Is The Super Dirt Cup Format and Schedule?
Racing will take place on three nights this weekend, beginning with Thursday, June 19, and concluding on Saturday, June 21. Thursday and Friday night will each see full-show prelim nights, with Saturday serving as the main event.
Thursday and Friday’s prelim nights will begin with single-car qualifying. The heat races will line up with the top eight cars inverted from qualifying. Points will be awarded for qualifying results, heat race results, and feature results.
After qualifying and heat races are completed, the top 20 in points will lock into the 24-car A-Main that night. The top 16 cars will be inverted.
Positions 21-36 in points will head to the B-Main. All drivers below 36th in points will head to the C-Main, with the top four finishers transferring into the B-Main. The top four finishers in the B-Main will transfer into the A-Main.
Points will be totaled across both Thursday and Friday night’s preliminary events.
On Saturday, things are different. The top four in cumulative points from both nights will lock into the A-Main and the Pole Shuffle.
Positions five through 44 will be put into four qualifiers. The top four from each qualifier will advance to the A-Main. Finishers fifth through eighth will go to the B-Main. The ninth and tenth-place finishers will go to the C-Main.
The winners of each qualifier will also compete in the Pole Shuffle, which will determine the starting order for the top eight positions of the A-Main.
In total, 26 cars will start the Super Dirt Cup A-Main, which will pay out $100,026 to the race winner.

National Sprint Car Hall of Famer Jimmy Sills is the all-time leader in Super Dirt Cup wins with six triumphs in 1974, 1980, 1985, 1987, 1989, and 1990.
