ROSSBURG, Ohio (June 5) — A second rain delay for Thursday’s Dream XXI preliminary program at Eldora Speedway forced officials to postpone the 50-lap feature to Friday night.

The $30,000-to-win feature was rescheduled for Friday evening. The makeup feature will follow Friday’s originally scheduled split-field prelim.

Friday’s hot laps are scheduled for 5:30 p.m., an hour earlier than scheduled, followed by Friday’s originally scheduled complete program with hot laps, time trials, heat races, consolation races and a $30,000-to-win main event.

Afternoon rain forced the program to start about 45 minutes later than scheduled on Thursday with on-track activity beginning about 7:15 p.m. Light drizzle and a few raindrops over the next few hours turned into a rain show about 9:30 p.m. and officials announced the postponement at 9:55 p.m.

Results from Friday’s preliminary events will set the heat race fields for Saturday’s $100,000-to-win program.
