The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is at Nebraska's Eagle Raceway this weekend for the second time in tour history for the three-day Malvern Bank High Bank Heist starting with Thursday's $10,000-to-win opener.
Ricky Thornton Jr. commanded 28 of 40 laps, including the final six laps, for his 10th overall victory of the 2025 season.
Jonathan Davenport finished second, 1.341 seconds behind Thornton, and had a shot to win when he led lap 34 before an untimely caution a lap later. Hudson O'Neal led the opening 11 laps but faded to finish seventh.
Brandon Sheppard rallied to finish sixth after bringing out a caution on lap 20. Dillon McCowan earned hard-charger, finishing eighth from the 22nd-starting spot.
