2025 Indianapolis 500 Wednesday Practice Results

NTT INDYCAR Series dominator Alex Palou topped Wednesday's overall speed charts on the second day of Indianapolis 500 practice at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a lap of 227.546 mph.

Seven of the top-eight overall speeds from the second Indy 500 practice are affiliated with Chip Ganassi Racing or Team Penske: Palou, who has four wins in five races in 2025 (Ganassi), Will Power in second (Penske), Josef Newgarden in third (Penske), Scott Dixon in fourth (Ganassi), David Malukas (alliance with Penske), Marcus Armstrong in seventh (alliance with Ganassi) and Helio Castroneves (Ganassi) in eighth.

Kyle Larson logged the 13th-fastest overall lap of the day at 223.985 mph, which was also the fastest among his Arrow McLaren Racing teammates. Kyle Kirkwood topped the non-tow speed charts for the second day in a row at 222.760 mph.

Practice resumes Thursday at 10 a.m. with Tony Kanaan's veteran refresher course before all cars can hit the 2.5-mile oval at noon.
