NARC 410 Sprint Cars at Antioch Speedway: Who To Watch & Fan Info
NARC 410 Sprint Cars visit Antioch Speedway this Saturday, May 10. Here's who to watch and what to know entering the Contra Costa County Clash.

Antioch, CA -- After some unscheduled time off thanks to Mother Nature, the NARC 410 Sprint Car Series gets back to action this Saturday, May 10, with the Contra Costa County Clash at Antioch Speedway.
Saturday’s event is the first of two NARC events scheduled at the ¼-mile clay oval this year, the other being on October 11. Saturday’s show is one of the rare opportunities fans in Antioch have to watch the 900-plus horsepower winged sprint cars in action.
Former series champion D.J. Netto, aboard the Netto Ag No. 88N, goes into the event with a five-point advantage over Templeton’s Kaleb Montgomery. Netto won the NARC season opener March 8th at Stockton Dirt Track and backed that up with a fourth place run at the Mini-Gold Cup on April 12th at Silver Dollar Speedway.
The energetic young Montgomery, with a pair of top five finishes in different cars, is knocking on the door of his first 410 sprint car victory. Veteran racer Shane Golobic sits two points back of Montgomery in third place.
Justin Sanders, winner of last month’s Mini-Gold Cup, was the winner in last year’s Contra Costa County Clash at Antioch Speedway, and it was the first of his series leading seven wins on his way to a NARC championship in 2024.
Who To Watch
Shane Golobic, from Fremont, is one to be watched on Saturday. Golobic finished second to Sanders at Antioch last year. This season, Golobic has been competitive everywhere he has raced, having picked up wins in sprint cars in non-NARC competition and in a midget recently. Driving the Matt Wood Racing No. 17w, Golobic figures to be one of the favorites. Golobic has 16 NARC victories to his credit.
Two-time NARC “King of the West” Dominic Scelzi of Fresno is another driver to watch on Saturday. Scelzi, a winner of 23 NARC main events in his career, had problems in last year’s Contra Costa County Clash, but in 2023 he was victorious at Antioch. The charismatic fan favorite looks to add another Antioch triumph to his resume on Saturday aboard the Gary Scelzi Motorsports No. 41.
Dylan Bloomfield of Oakley could be considered a dark horse on Saturday. The young driver of the Vertullo Racing No. 83v finished third in last year’s race at Antioch, and a couple other times last season he was in contention for his first NARC victory. Saturday’s race could be another opportunity for Bloomfield to finally break through.
A full field of sprint car teams are expected to fill the pit area. Other drivers expected to compete include Roseville’s Sean Becker and Ryan Bernal, Tanner Carrick of Lincoln, Clovis drivers Dominic Gorden and Mariah Ede, Bud Kaeding of Campbell, Tyler Thompson from Oregon, Lemoore’s Caeden Steele, Gauge Garcia of Fresno, Benicia’s Billy Aton, Windsors John Clark, and many more.
