The second night of the five-race Illinois Speedweeks took place Wednesday at Spoon River Speedway in Lewistown, Ill., for another $20,000-to-win showdown on FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota.

Jonathan Davenport kept Hudson O'Neal at bay and led all 50 laps to win at the 3/8-mile oval for his fifth overall victory season and first since Feb. 15 at Volusia Speedway Park. It's also Davenport's first win in Illinois since he won the 2015 Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury Speedway.

After starting sixth, O'Neal grabbed second from Shannon Babb on lap 17 and overcame Davenport's 2.745-second lead right up until a lap-34 restart. O'Neal pulled alongside Davenport a few times down the stretch, but coudn't complete the would-be winning pass.

Bobby Pierce rounded out the podium despite starting his night the 10th-fastest qualifier in 24-car Group A.
