Who's Racing At The 2025 Chili Bowl Today? Previewing Monday's Prelim
A look at the preliminary night roster for Monday at the 2025 Chili Bowl.

The chase for the Golden Driller officially begins Monday as the 39th annual Chili Bowl Nationals begins in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Monday’s opening preliminary night - the first of five, which each lock-in the top-two finishers to Saturday’s 40-lap Championship A-Main - tentatively features 71 entries on the ChiliBowl.com website. All week long, we’ll take you through some of the stars to keep your eye on as you watch on FloRacing - the official live streaming partner of the event.

Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports has never lost since Monday’s prelim was created in 2019, scoring a perfect six wins in six tries. That stat has been anchored by Oklahoma’s Cannon McIntosh and California’s Tanner Carrick, who have combined to win the last five. McIntosh still has “Mr. Monday” honors with three of those victories in 2020-21 & 2023, but Carrick has been catching him with W’s in 2022 & 2024. They’re both back in action tonight along with a third KKM car of former Tulsa Shootout champion, Ashton Torgerson.
The main headliner on Monday, however, is some kid from Elk Grove, California. Yeah, that guy, Kyle Larson. After adding two Golden Drillers at the Tulsa Shootout, the former NASCAR Cup Series champion has brought Paul Silva back to the Tulsa Expo for another try at his third Chili Bowl Nationals championship. With the Race of Champions also being held tonight, Larson will switch his prelim to Monday night for the first time ever and try to stop the KKM dominance.
If you’re looking for ultra-consistency on this opening night, Shane Golobic is your man. The Matt Wood Racing star has finished top-five in eight of his last nine prelims, and it would be 100% if it weren’t for being collected in an innocent wreck battling for the lead. “Sugar Shane” contends for the win every Monday, but he hasn’t pulled it off yet - finishing second on three occasions. This could be the year that all changes and he finds the top step.
Like Larson, Brent Crews is another Monday nighter coming to the Chili Bowl fresh off a Tulsa Shootout Golden Driller. The 16-year-old North Carolina signee to KHI Management in NASCAR development is already the youngest Championship A-Main starter in Chili Bowl Nationals history, and this week he could be the youngest champion in history with Paul May Motorsports.
Both National Sprint Car Series are well represented this week in Tulsa, and on Monday night. Justin Peck of Kubota High Limit Racing and Bill Balog of the World of Outlaws will be included in the opening prelim of the week, both returning to the Expo after a leave of absence. Speaking of the World of Outlaws, their Late Model Series championship contender Nick Hoffman will also be racing on Monday, and he’s been on the verge of making his first Championship A-Main.
You also have record-setter Jerry Coons Jr. in action this evening, looking for a 25th consecutive preliminary A-Main start and potentially his fifth preliminary win. JCJ already owns the record for most consecutive Championship A-Main starts (14) and now we’ll see how long he can run this one out.
Many more Tulsa Shootout champions will be in competition with the likes of 2009 A-Class winner Gary Taylor driving for Brian & Mike Dunlap, 2017 Winged Outlaw winner Joe B. Miller in the Lewis Trucking No. 51B, 2015 Outlaw/Stock Non-Wing winner Trey Marcham in his family-owned No. 32T, and 2021 Outlaw Non-Wing winner Kris Carroll driving for RAMCO.
Briggs Danner - who made his first Championship A-Main last year - is another noteworthy name to watch as he debuts with an expanded four-car team at Alex Bowman Racing. Other key competitors include the likes of Tanner Holmes, Alex Sewell, Dillon Welch, Zach Wigal, and Josh Bilicki, among others.
All of the Chili Bowl fun begins today with Monday Heat Races beginning at 4pm CT. If you can’t be here to witness the Tulsa magic yourself, you can watch every lap live all week long on FloRacing.
