The 2025 Dirt Late Model season begins with this weekend's Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts at FK Rod Ends Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park, where nearly 50 Dirt Late Model drivers compete in the six-race miniseries bookended by $25,000-to-win programs.

Bobby Pierce dispatched first half leader Garrett Alberson on the lap-30 restart and never looked back for Saturday's 19th annual opening night victory at the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts at Vado Speedway Park. Pierce banked $25,000 for his 0.933 of a second victory over Alberson.

Pierce, the 38-time winner last year, now has seven wins over his last 10 starts at Vado Speedway Park dating back to the 2022 Wild West Shootout. Pierce's 13th career WWS victory also ties Billy Moyer for most miniseries victories. Alberson led the opening 29 laps from the outside front row before slipping up on a lap-30 restart and giving way to Pierce.
