Any time there’s a big Dirt Late Model race at Eldora Speedway, everyone knows that the path to victory lane goes through Jonathan Davenport. He proved why again on Saturday night at the 30th Dirt Late Model Dream and reminded everyone why his nickname is “Superman.” Davenport led wire-to-wire to score his third Dirt Late Model Dream victory.

Davenport started on the pole after winning his heat race and immediately drove away from the field. Davenport led all 100 laps and won by 5.696 seconds over Bobby Pierce, who finished second after starting ninth. 

Brandon Overton finished third, Hudson O’Neal finished fourth, and Chris Madden completed the top five.

Davenport said in victory lane that tonight he had “the best car I’ve ever had at Eldora,” which is saying something considering Davenport’s stats at the historic Rossburg, Ohio half-mile. Davenport now has three Dirt Late Model dream wins to go along with his five World 100 titles, the 2022 Eldora Million, and the 2020 Intercontinental Classic.
